Local companies couldn't help with my failed SSD. DriveSavers was able to get me back all of my data in the same organizational structure as my old laptop. I didn't ask or pay for the rushed plan, but still received the new external hard drive with all my data within 9 days of when I first mailed them the damaged SSD. These folks are honest, upfront, and caring. This drive was from a close friend. Their report says they replced the internal components and rebuilt the drive, but the media was damaged beyond recovery, so no charge. While the recovery would have been expensive, this is a very inexpensive lesson, except for his data loss, in safely storing our data. No one in my area could recover my data and unfortunately I did not have a cloud (thought I did) I had 6 years worth of pictures and video lost. Until I was told to send it to Drive Savers.
