Our poor 6 year old cat snagged a nail and was bleeding profusely. We managed to stop the bleeding with corn starch and flower, but started looking for the nearest vet with high ratings. We had recently moved into the area, and had been too busy to select our new vet.... and in my experience I am very skeptical and untrusting of vets. To my relief, this was an amazing vet and a great experience (less the traumatic experience for our kitty). They were willing to fit us in same day (Saturday). There was a bit of a wait,... read more
Greetings fellow petlovers....This is the best vet I've known in years. Dr. Lori Dabaco is kind, knowledgeable and wonderfully practical. She decided NOT to pull a tooth in my aging cat Phyllis, as the Xrays did not show root problems. Saved me a gob of $, plus less wear-and-tear on the kitty. Plus the staff -- desk supports and technicians -- did great follow-up, checking back a couple times to make sure feline was fine. Also that I was able to do dental work (who'd believe I'd be brushing a cat's teeth?!?) Only qui... read more
Finally! I found a great Vet!!! Don't pay attention to any bad reviews on Eden Pet Hospital, I've been looking for a good place for my special cat for a very long time. This pet hospital is the best. Its clean and the staff is absolutely awesome. Dr. Dabaco is an incredible veterinarian with a special understanding of how to treat much loved pets and their owners! What has really made an impression on me was that the staff and Dr. Dabaco were very patient and communicated with me on every step needed to care for my scardy ... read more
This place really is as good as it gets! I apologize in advance for the long read but it is worth it because this really is the best place ever and I want everyone to know! I won't go into the details as it is a sad story but my best friend Harley passed away recently. I had been taking him here ever since I moved up to the bay area in 2007. I was always impressed with the utter sterility of this place! It is soooo clean! You will never smell anything but clean. Their waiting room is ample and has a comfy leather couch with... read more
I adopted an 8 week old tabby from the Hayward animal shelter during their free adoption weekend. Free spaying with adoption which I was told would be done at Eden where I would pick up my kitty. Picking him up from surgery the two receptionists let me know the entire staff fell in love with my kitty and he did very well. Dr. Dabaco gave me great instructions to look out for irritation and excessive licking... Overall he did great and was running around the day of! I have been back for two exams and his booster shots/felin... read more
We just moved back to Hayward after living in San Mateo for several years and needed to find a new vet. My daughter moved back from college and brought back with her a 6 month old kitten who hadn't had any shots or been fixed. Now, I already have 3 cats (all grown ups) who are all fixed and have all their shots. No way was I going to introduce this youngster into the mix and then worry if it had something contageous. We called on Monday morning and they were able to take him on Wednesday morning for both the getting fixe... read more
When we found a tiny tiny 3 day old kitten last year we had no idea what to do. We did know we wanted to adopt it (how could we not!?) so we started calling vet hospitals. At hospital after hospital we were told "We don't have anything til Wednesday" (It was mid-day Monday). When we called Eden we got the same answer "Sorry we don't have anything until Wednesday... BUT if you can come by and don't mind waiting a little while, I'm sure one of our Vet Techs can take a moment to show you how to feed him". The moment we walked... read more
My quiet, mild-mannered calico kitty, Aloha turns into a stark raving maniac when I bring her to her regular vet in Pleasanton. The last time I brought her in for her annual exam, it took 3 people to subdue her while she literally screamed at the top of her lungs. She was obviously traumatized, as were my son and I while we observed this scene. So when she contacted a UTI about a month ago, I decided to bring her to Eden Pet Hospital, where I bring my other kitty, Princess. While she was still visibly upset while waiting... read more
After researching tons of vets in the area, I decided to take my puppy here to get spayed. Their price was decent (I think it was around $210 or so plus a new customer visit fee). Dr. Hollenbach was very friendly and sweet with my puppy, which was nice. The lobby is very clean and it doesn't stink or anything. A lot of vets have pet hair everywhere or smell like dirty dog, but this place is very clean. The staff is also very friendly. I brought my puppy in in the morning for her newbie check-up before the surgery. Dr. Holle... read more
