I have been a member of this credit union for 30 years. ...and always fairly happy with services. However, I am shocked they are outsourcing calls to a call center. While the representative was helpful and did his job, I felt highly uncomfortable giving out my personal and account information...along with passwords to what sounded like a call center in another country just for a very basic service. I went to try to make a payment to the principal on an equity loan. They make it impossible to do so. Really bad bank. I’m now in the phone trying to make a payment to the principal. Been on hold for 30 minutes because the regular agent can’t do it and she’s trying to get someone from the mortgage department to help. They just don’t want you to pay to the principal so you’re in debt for life. God! What a horrible experience with this bank!!!!!!
The people working at the credit union (Fed Ed) on SW 117th are some of the kindest and pleasant people I know.
The lady that took care of me was very dry. Hardly talked and gave one word answers. I felt like I was bothering her. Not a good start.
WARNING- When you need to withdraw more than $5k they give you a check to take to another bank!! Loan rates are great - BUT very disorganized and lengthy process. Pack your patience. I have EDFED as a secondary bank -my primary bank is CHASE and they are great.
