Although EHS’ location and proximity to subways, grocers and activities is great, it’s living conditions are disgusting. The floor of my room was not cleaned when I moved in and instead a wax seal was put on top sealing in the hair, dirt and food bits that were left behind. In addition to that, the bathroom was horrible. Every corner of the shower had mold spores growing and the shower handle always fell apart. Not the ideal living situation but it provided what I needed. The people that worked there were very nice and accommodating. They addressed my needs in a timely manner. I also stayed in the New Yorker which was in a busy, chaotic part of town so not a place I would want to live longer than a summer.

During the summer the AC was not cold enough and it made our room extremely damp and gross feeling that made living in the room miserable and the washer and dryers would break and ruin my clothes but the other amenities were great

The bathrooms were gross And my shower didn’t turn off for 5 hours my first day because it broke. And it’s hard to make friends bc everyone either doesn’t speak English or is at work. But it’s in a fantastic location that couldn’t be more convinient.

The staff were very helpful and responsive when I had questions or issues with my room. But, our room was dirty when we arrived and the sink was clogged.

I really thought the cost of doing laundry was rather excessive. I hated my roommate. So however we got paired was pretty rough. I was shocked at how dirty he truly was.

The kitchen got a bit too busy sometimes. My shower was crap, and even though smoking wasn't allowed, the elevator and halls often smelled of weed and cigarettes. I appreciated the building security though and the proximity to my job.
