TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

The wait was outrageous, over 30 mins to get 2 combos, the lobby was kinda full but it wasn’t the amount of guest,it was the energy with which everyone one was working. A little sense of urgency goes a long way, it seemed the workers were moving slow on purpose. Like that’s my only explanation, for moving that slow while working. First time here. Came in the perfect time and no one was inside. Heard it gets crowded but not when I was there during lunch. The food and the meal is well worth it. Order two meals and literally just demolish both in lunch alone telling me this place is legit hands down. The fires, hot chicken tenders, hot chicken sandwich with their dessert shake. Would recommend but depending on the hours it can be crowded or not so be mindful.
I went into Dave’s for the first time ! I drove over 30 minutes to try it out and it was worth the drive! I was greeted by Meche and felt very welcomed! (She welcomed EVERYONE that walked in!) Meche deserves to be commended !! The wait was not very long and Meche kept updating me on my order ! It was DELICIOUS! Pickles are THE BEST!! I definitely will go back (thankfully you will be opening on my side of town this week!!)
Had a great experience at Dave’s Hot Chicken today. The food was great and the manager Lorenzo was extremely welcoming and kind, made sure we had everything we needed. The Nerds slush is highly recommended. 😋🍭🫶🏼 Thank you Lorenzo and the Eastlake Dave’s team!!!
