We have stayed at the El Dorado a few times before. We have never had a bad experience here. The rooms are updated and clean. You can choose to have your room cleaned every day or when you want it clean. It’s always a good vacation when we stay here.

Run of the mill hotel. Nice but nothing special. It was in a seedy area of Reno. It looks like most of Reno is seedy.

Not my favorite hotel in Reno The non-smoking room had a smell of smoke and a clear view of a dead bird on a connecting roof. This disgusted my family, so we had to keep the blinds closed. The pool was unimpressive. I've stayed at other hotels in Reno for a similar price, so will likely go there in the future.
We enjoyed our short stay very much; however, at checkout we found it very difficult to find our way to where our luggage was taken. It was 3:30am and no one was available to help until we found a casino customer that was familiar with the property and guided us to the valet area where we found the shuttle that took us to the airport.

The casino seemed Ok for Reno. Kinda reminded me of Fremont street in Vegas, but only a few homeless people wandering the streets. Inside the casinos were a very mellow vibe, not the craziness of Vegas or activity’s. Granted our stay was at the tail end of the COVID closures. I’d stay there again.
