Get directionsWe're enjoying it very much and would recommend it. They've been very friendly and helpful. We appreciate that they are a strict memory care facility rather than an assisted living facility with a memory care wing. My mother has dementia so this is what she needed. She's been there for a week so she hasn't had a chance to do many activities besides the daily exercising. She seems to be doing very well.

Hi John! Thank you for taking the time to write this nice review. We very much enjoy having the opportunity to take care of your mom and your family, and we are here if you ever need anything at all.
U.S. Memory Care in Colleyville is a brand new facility, specializing in Alzheimer's and Dementia care. After careful consideration, we decided on this location for my in-law's, who are both suffering from this disease at the same time. The staff-to-patient ratio is 1-to-5, which is the best that I found in all of my research. And, everyone there is very loving and caring to the residents. While it was hard to give up their home, the in-laws have settled in very well and really like it there. They have activities daily to ke... read more

Hi Stacey! Thank you for writing this delightful review. We are glad that you and your in laws found U.S. Memory Care, too! We are honored to be able to serve your loved ones. Please let us know if you ever need anything at all. Thank you!
The locks on residents doors can be opened by other residents keys, so there is no safety or security for the residents. I found another resident in my husband's room while he was bed ridden. My husband's door was locked. Also their laundry service does not keep residents laundry separate so it disappears.
Ask the local hospice companies which facilities are the best. Ask where they would put their loved ones. Visit all parts of the facility, not just what they show you. Show up at an odd time, other than when your appointment is set. Pay close attention to how the workers treat you and the residents when managers aren't around. Go to a monthly resident/family council meeting. Hear what the other families are experiencing. Ask them directly if they would put their loved one here again, knowing what they know now. I was very impressed with the Main St. concept at first, but when my mother moved in the carpet was dirty and there was a foul smell. Luckily I put a camera in the room and would suggest everyone should do this. I was appalled at some of the things seen. After several weeks the sheets were not being changed, the room was not being cleaned, and my mother was not being showered regularly. There were several really good workers, but some were very uncaring and even abusive. The food was good but the portions are very small. Dur... read more
A beautiful facility and great concept. However my Person needed help with the Activities of Daily Living (dressing, bathing, toileting, etc.) and was not getting it. Each time I dropped in I'd see a struggle with dressing, clothes on inside out and backward, shoes on wrong feet, still in room, undressed, at mealtime, etc. When I visited My Person was always hungry. Very quickly lost more than 25lbs - and was not fat when moved in. Was hospitalized for severe dehydration, and AKI, after living there without family supervis... read more
Ellery Arbor was bought by Sagora a little over a year ago and it has declined. The caregivers are good but the management is not caring or nurturing in any way. No matter how long you are a resident there, they are happy to see you move! I would not recommend this facility for anyone’s loved one. No activities for the residents no matter what they advertise.
I admit at one, was offered a beverage but opted to use restroom. When I returned to the lobby, the executive director was in her office with door closed. The marketing person was off but working sat. I waited 20 mn and decided it was not the right place. My time is important, the director was out of line to keep me waiting with no explanation. Facility much too large.
Not happy with more changes in staff and especially with the nursing. I understand the at Nurse has given her notice and will be leaving. It is unfortunate that this is happening. Over the past couple of months it seems as the community cleanliness, and follow up of concerns has dropped off no response from the Executive Director when concerns are brought to her attention. The new Regional person does not seem engaged with the staff of residents there is no more support......This is sad to see the community take steps backwa... read more
