Dr. Shadduck is excellent in patient relations,listening skills, aftercare, and most importantly -- his expertise. I absolutely recommend him.

Great patient/doctor relationship both in the examination room and the surgical area. Friendly, answers all questions and expresses confidence of his knowledge to patient. Explains procedures simple enough for understanding and accuracy. Experienced nothing that he didn't anticipate. Great doctor.
Dr Shadduck took his time to make sure I understood everything about my situation and everything that would happen and patiently answered any and all questions my wife and I had. He never made us feel rushed but rather kept us reassured.

I was referred to Dr. Shadduck by my Primary Care Physician for exploring whether I needed hernia surgery. I met with him twice and found him caring, informed and very collaborative. We talked about the pros and cons of having surgery at this time and decided that I would "wait and see." I felt valued for my intelligence and ability to sort out all the considerations Dr. Shadduck presented. He would be the #1 general surgeon that I would recommend in the Triangle Area of North Carolina.

I was first referred to another surgeon that lacked in bed side manner, and did not take my situation very seriously. After meeting with that surgeon I asked my GP to refer me to a different surgeon. That's when I met with Dr. Shadduck. From my very first visit with him I felt he understood the urgency of my situation and that it needed immediately attention. He performed the surgery the very next morning and I felt was very thorough in follow-up. I would highly recommend Dr. Shadduck!
