My mom spent weeks there and just got worse. Her memory was bad and was very weak that she could hardly get out of bed and needed 1 to 2 people to assist. I saw her at group physical therapy and the patients would just stare at her while my mom's mind was elsewhere. It broke my heart. She said the therapy was loud and it stressed her out, but he had to be because some people don't hear good, but it was loud and it echoed in the room. My mom stayed here for two weeks after a week at the hospital for her stroke. To my surprise the space was so clean, no rancid or foul smells. Front desk was always welcoming when we came to visit and left. My mom's road to recovery was a positive experience here with the quality of care from all of the staff - literally every single staff member she came in contact with up until the day she was discharged. My father spent many weeks at Encompass off and on after a fractured hip. The staff was wonderful with him. After many setbacks, he always wanted to go back to Encompass.

My mom has been here for 2 weeks and honestly for being "stuck" at rehab during the holidays, it isn't bad here. Staff do a great job checking on her and are so sweet with her. My mom isn't the friendliest to caregivers so I appreciate that they are still good with her regardless. Front desk staff are the sweetest folks. Easy to find in the heart of Arlington near the Parks Mall. It's my mom's second rehab stay and encompass always does a great job getting her stronger.

On June 9, 2017, I was admitted to this location after having a spinal cord injury. It was not originally my choice because it is about 40 miles from my home. I am very happy I did. I was not able to walk, dress, eat or mostly do anything without assistance. My therapists, Parul, Brant and of course Veronica the social worker never gave up on me. Therapists and nursing staff are great(except they do no rehab on Sat. or Sun.Why waste two days left in your room to do nothing beneficial for your condition?I was doing very well and the OT agreed,Dr came in and said "she looks good, once again OT agreed.I said then I would like to go home.Dr said (for some reason wth a card(like a greeting card) covering part of his face) Ok I'll go to the desk and write the orders right now.Ran into another Dr about 12:00 and he said I will go check to see if he wrote the orders, they ha... read more

My father was a patient of Health South Rehab for several weeks. Not familiar with rehab centers in the area, it was difficult choosing the best location. Our family decided to go with Health South after reading the reviews. Health South surpassed all expectations and then some. Dad was greeted at 4am with the best nurse staff Bee and Faith.
