I just spent three weeks in this Rehabilitation center. It's the fourth one I've been to in 7 months. By far it is the best one. It's started when I walked in and everyone said hi and welcome they all knew I was in a patient yet. and it only got better for the first time in my life I was checked in and had all my meds within an hour and a half. My 87yr old father was lucky to be a candidate for Health South's Rehab program after spending 2 weeks in the hospital from acute renal failure. He undergoes 3.5 hours (5 sessions) of physical, occupational and mental acuity therapy daily and the results have been nothing short of a miracle! He is rapidly rebuilding physical strength, confidence, and the ability to mobilize himself all while undergoing in-room dialysis 3 days a week. This place is the best!!! My 25 year old son was admitted here after being in a an induced coma at Death(Health) Central Hospital in Orlando. We never thought he would walk or talk again after they removed him from the ventilator after 10 long days. They were going to Trach him but I insisted to that administration to have him moved to another hospital. Interesting how they can suddenly remove him from the ventilator when their next plan was to Trach him...Health South was recommended by friends here in Sarasota and I found... read more

My mother died less than a week after discharge. Physician ignored critical lab results which I questioned. He said "I assure you she is safe to be discharged." Totally negligent and condescending.

Zero stars. Everything workers look miserable and over worked. New people every time there. Care is for people with strokes and rehab to help them. It looks rundown inside and outside. The kitchen is horrible. Whoever the head manager is doesn't know what they're doing. Food is horrible. Don't go here it is a bad place. Beware and go anywhere else but here!

My experience with this so called hospital has been terrible. I wouldn't even give them one star - that's too many. They dropped the ball, gave us the run around and could care less about whether my husband ever walks again.
