Hello, I am a shih-tzu, with a itchy bum problem and I scratched until all my hair fell out in one area. My mom called this clinic and was given an appointment within one hour! Dr. Scott gave me a few tests and even waived the fees. In result, I was given a shot to reduce my discomfort and itchiness for 4-6 weeks. Always hard to find a good Veterinarian we really like evergreen Vet The Dr are good and the hours they are open works well for us.
Called this Sunday morning and was able to be seen in the afternoon same day. Everyone was very nice. The vet was gentle with my dog, thorough in her exam, and answered all the questions I had. I am very pleased with the service I received. If I ever have a last minute or emergency need on weekend I will plan to come here again.
I would like to say how much I appreciate the Evergreen Vet Clinic for the past number of years we have had our cat Maui there for exams. Our elderly cat Maui was diagnosed a few years ago with cancer. Dr. Lee was wonderful in connecting us with an eye surgeon (Animal Eye Specialists) in Campbell and followed us through the entire surgery. At first, the vet thought my dog had possible bronchitis. My 13 year old dog has had a bad cough for a while. 3 stars for correctly diagnosing a collapsed trachea (by the radiologist and expensive $275 chest x Ray for a small chihuahua... ). Minus 2 stars for prescribing not only expensive medication but also ineffective ones. I was first told to give my dog Hydrocodone and Clavamox Drops. I woke up to every pet owner's nightmare. My dog was bleeding from her mouth, clearly in pain, and trying to claw something from her teeth. This place is one of the best Veterinary Clinics in San Jose. The doctors are very knowledge in their care for dogs. I brought my Yorkie for a leg check up and the veterinarian was able to fix my dog's leg without any surgery and popped the muscle back in place with its bone. My Yorkie recovered instantly at the clinic and walked fine. The veterinarian only charged me $150 for this service. The clinic was able to schedule me a drop in weekday appointment. I've been going to EVC for about 4 years now. I've seen Dr. Amaro (retired), Dr. Liu (retired) and Dr. Lee. All were excellent and I've been extremely pleased with their excellent diagnostic skills and how they relate to my dogs (all literally get on the floor and play with them!). We have two elderly indoor cats. Until recently, we have not needed to take them to the vet often. This clinic is clean and efficiently run. I like that they have separate entrances and waiting areas for cats and dogs. We have had good experiences with Drs. Louie and Lee. Both are down to earth, and don't try to sell expensive procedures. In fact, Dr. Louie recommended we wait to see if the growth on our cat's paw might just fall off instead of suggesting a surgical procedure. Sure enough, it did!
