just a note This was the first hotel that did not have maid service included in the rate, I could not believe that I was ask to pay $5;00 extra for the service.
Very clean, safe location, friendly staff We loved it... great stay... fantastic value and just a quick trip across the bridge to Historic Charleston. Save some money for fun in Charleston. Great value and cleaner than some other hotels we visited in the Historic District in the past.
My favorite part of this hotel was the location!! Just off of the bridge on the other side of the historic district! Very easy to find :) Extremely friendly staff and very accommodating!
good for your money it was as I thought , good price and good stay. Staff is very friendly and will go out of their way to help you. No issues with the room other than small coffee pot!!!! LOL any how it is a good location and has a kitchen so you dont have to eat out the whole time you are there .
Good for sailors Very convenient
It was a good place to stay We stayed two nights, and the renovations are beautiful. I was very comfortable there, felt safe, but the air conditioner and the refrigerator were LOUD when starting up and kept waking me up... Also there was a loud tapping sound in the wall, maybe water pipes, not sure. I informed the staff when we left and she took notes but I don't know if that issue was resolved. All in all it was a good stay. Just maybe not the best place for light sleepers.
self service as a senior citizen, I remember 25 cent per gallon gasoline, and 4 attendants gassing the car, cleaning windshields, checking oil, checking tires . . . then came self service. Which must mean cheaper gas than paying 4 men to do it. This was my first stay at a hotel/motel where I was required to exchange my own towels and take out my own trash.
