I had to clean floors and bathroom. When I checked in the staff were speaking in Spanish. Their attention wasn't on checking me in

The room was clean and comfortable
This hotel gets a lot of bad reviews and my stay was nothing close to bad. Rael at the front desk was very patient and kind. I work in the hotel industry and whoever is working the front desk is the very first person people go to for complaints or issues and that first impression can be a lasting one. He does that job very well! We had a California king bed in the room, and it was very spacious. There was a small problem with a TV and they took care of it right away. I got 2 separate reservations here. The first room I got was was good. It was clean, check in was easy. Had no problems. The second room i got was discusting, it smelled like cat pee as if there were 20 cats locked in there for a month, and someone let them out right before they have me the key.
