Not great Hotel is not in a great area. Whole place had a pretty bad odor. Outside of hotel with trash, not clean. Won't be returning.
It's nothing like the TV commercial suggests We chose to stay here as the Hyatt Place was full and we had seen the commercial on TV and thought it looked good. Also, the listing said the building had been refurbished, which I thought was a bonus. The reception was dirty and the receptionist was not the friendliest. Our room was on the 2nd floor. The room was very large, but stunk of curry. It was clear that the room had been upgraded, but still very basic. Many of the guests we saw were very questionable people. When we arri... read more
Disappointing experience I was told housekeeping cleans every 7 days. I had to bring my dirty towels to the front desk in order to get new ones. Service could have been much better. Breakfast was very limited. I would recommend to anyone would be interested in cooking while away. They do provide stove, plates, cups etc. It could be beneficial to some.
Disapointing Experience at "Extended Stay America" Room had strong odor probably from cooking a curry dish. No comment from staff when advised of the curry smell. Shower was nearly unusable due to a loud hammering noise when in use. Staff advised me they were awaiting a part to correct the problem and said the problem was throughout the building. I only found out on the second day that housekeeping did not clean and make up the rooms daily, just once weekly. Again staff only confirmed the policy but offered no explanation wh... read more
Not a good experience. We asked for a non smoking room and there was a sign in our room that said it was non smoking however the smoke odor was very strong . We went to the desk and they said they had a different room for one of the nights but not both nights and we decided not to go back and forth. So they gave us a bottle of fabreeze to spray in the room. That's what I say. When my wife went to bed a black bug the size of a lady bug cralled on her. When she jumped out of bed she saw a larger bug like a thousand leg bug on t... read more
Can walk to bus stop The staff were very friendly and helpful. We found out we can walk to the bus stop but its down a very large hill so if you are not up for a steep walk you can park your car in a parking lot close to the stop. Getting into the city on the bus was fast and easy! The bed was very hard and I didn't sleep very well. I would suggest you bring your own pillows. The hotel was quiet until about 2:30 on Sunday morning when the drunk people came back and we had to call the desk to send someone up to quiet them dow... read more
Just OK It was an OK place to sleep for 2 nights. The walls were very thin so I could hear my neighbors. Breakfast was actually "grab and go" - granola bars, apples, muffins - not a real breakfast. The neighborhood was a little sketchy. Easy on and off for the highway into Pittsburgh.
