south hills, pittsburgh it was just a bed for the night. we had to see relatives in the hospital, and we only had the week end. I will say that it was clean and very quiet, and that was most important to us.

Great Price, Average Stay Spent the night in PA visiting friends and just needed a place for the night. With the full kitchen and king bed Extended Stay was easily the best price. You just have to keep in mind you get what you pay for... the bed was very hard and lacking the number of pillows most places would have waiting for you and the towels felt like they could almost pass for sandpaper (but they did dry really well).

Extended Stay America THe hotel was ok. The staff were courteous and friendly. Housekeeping left a little to be desired, dusty appliances and old papers left on top of fridge. Close enough to Pittsburgh without spending the money to stay in the downtown area.

good value My 2 night weekend stay was smooth in all aspects. Nothing exceptional, but nothing bad either. As this hotel was a relatively lower-priced option in the area and some previous reviewers mentioned smell of smoke, I was a bit worried. I detected no smell of smoke (good since I was in a non-smoking room), hotel was in decent condition, and very quiet. Overall, I feel it was a good choice for this price category and location.

ESA-West Mifflin The room was big and and clean. The carpet had some stains. I was impressed by the full kitchen in the room complete with refrigerator, stove top, toaster, dishes, pots, pans, silverware, and sink. Disappointed there was no hair dryer in the room, but very happy with everything else.

Amenities-free stay I checked in separately with another couple who had requested a non-smoking room but wound up with a smoking room, and one right next to an elevator bank. Room had no hair dryer or shampoo (I was able to get some at the desk), though the other room at least had shampoo. My television was missing a remote. Simply comfortable I have stayed in Extended Stay hotels elsewhere in the country, and have found them to be consistently the best experience for the lowest price. This one in West Mifflin, PA was no exception. I was kind of put off by the fact that the HEATER was on when I entered my room (after coming in from 90+ degree temperatures with high humidity outside,) but I'm sure this was a unique circumstance.
