There are a LOT of homeless people in the area. I would not have felt safe without my husband and dog. My feet were black after walking around the room for 15 minutes. Make sure you wear socks. The staff was friendly.

Shower plumbing is reversed - turn on the hot & you get cold. turn on the cold - you get hot. Questionable area - safety of vehicle parking is suspect. Questionable people nearby & evidence of recently broken car windows in parking lot.

The hotel was very nice. The homeless people camping nearby was not so nice. The fact that the lady behind the desk had to unlock the front door to let my family in because the hotel has been robbed a couple times in the last week was alarming, but not too surprising given the location (lawless Portland). Would stay again if the city cleans out the scum.

The homeless encampment is in the process of being removed. We do keep the front door locked at 11pm for your safety as well as our employee's safety. We walk our hotel several times throughout the audit shift so we would not leave the doors unlocked during that time anyway. There is a large homeless camp adjacent to the hotel. The front door to the hotel is not secured after hours, anyone can enter. The elevator is not secured to allow only guest use. If I was traveling alone I would be very concerned about safety.

The entrance was difficult to find. The staff was annoyed to have to get me fresh towels.

The room was clean and comfortable. Parking is free and plenty of it. The hotel is safe but noticed homeless around the area. Pet friendly hotel which I appreciate. Continental breakfast provided.
