Closest decent hotel to family in the area The hotel itself was rather bleak and barebones. It was decent, but not conducive to feeling comfy. Just too spartan, with outdated colors, smudged and scuffed furniture, lamps that were hung awry, some stained carpeting, etc. The info I got ahead of time said breakfast was provided, but it proved to be granola bars and a limited selection of fruit, with instant oatmeal packets thrown in.

Business response:

Kay & Sue – Thank you for providing us with feedback about your stay. I am glad to hear that you enjoyed our welcoming, friendly staff. Still, I apologize that you found our hotel to be outdated and the condition to be unsatisfactory. As well, I am sorry that our grab-and-go breakfast did not meet your needs. Your comments will be very helpful as we continue to improve our guest experience. We do hope you will choose to stay with us again in the future.

A port in a storm I work nearby, so staying at this hotel was a good choice given the massive snowstorm, and the prospect of having to drive 65 miles from home under those conditions. The room smelled of smoke, which the manager identified as being blown into the room from another room. After a spray of Febreze and turning the vent fan on, the room smelled far better. I was told that breakfast was served in the lobby from 6-9 am. I'm sorry but coffee and a package of oatmeal or a mini muffin is not "breakfast". The manager w... read more

Great hotel, friendly on budget Front desk staff was friendly, courteous, and helpful. The room was in great condition, and the heating was excellent (I stayed during the NJ Winter, which can get really cold). The only complaint I have is the thin ceiling, where footsteps were heard 3-4 times a week. Overall, great hotel, would stay again and recommend, especially for those on a budget.

Business response:

I want to thank you for taking the time to post a review of your stay. I'm thrilled that all area's of your stay were satisfactory. The team and I truly appreciate your positive remarks and we look forward to hosting you again in the future.

OK for a cheap night stay. Hotel staff is very helpful, but breakfast is TERRIBLE. Breakfast consist of coffee and package instant oatmeal . Came for a LAX tournament for my son and had to go a restaurant for a decent breakfast.

Inexpensive, safe Princeton option This hotel has been significantly improved in the past several years--I first stayed here in 2007, and it was a bit scary then. Much cleaner all the way around, rooms are better maintained, and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. Definitely a good option for short or longer stays in the area, where most hotels are very expensive.
