No one was at the front desk so I had to go find someone after about 10 minutes of waiting. When I did, she wasn't very polite about it.

It got the job done. My room smelled like someone had previously been smoking in it. The carpet felt damp. I understand that the hotel cant be responsible for the other tenants, but whomever was upstairs thundered around all afternoon and into the late night. Whatever was going on up there sounded more like a construction project than a party. When i contacted the front desk about it, the staff were kind. It took a while for the problem to be identified. Got a room that completely reeked of cigarette smoke. Told that they had no other rooms available but they suddenly found one when we threatened to leave. Also, price gouged because of the eclipse. Needs to be renovated. The area is nice, but there are several better hotels in the area. I would pick one of those next time.

Dated motel Extended Stay is dated and is due for an upgrade. The formica on the kitchenette was chipped. The carpet had several stains. The bathtub had chips and stains. Door improvements (thicker and door closers) would really help to minimize distracting noise from adjacent doors closings. For the price, the motel was adequate.
