Wifi needs improvement, neighborhood was nice... Room was decent. Wifi was not. I often had to connect to my hotspot to get anything downloaded. Also, staff did not respond to my request for changing a light fixture so that it would work next to the bed. I will say they did take the extra time to make sure my bookings were correct and that I had the room type that I requested.

Overall good stay Decent location, 3 miles from a major train station secaucus junction, 10 minute ride into penn station nyc from there. Overall good stay no extras just a basic room with a small kitchen

Cheap but far from great Starting a couple of years ago ESA became pretty much the only Extended Stay hotel with a full kitchen that has absolutely nothing in the cupboards/cabinets. No plates no spoons no forks no cups no nothing! If you want any of these you must return to the front desk and ask for exactly what you want. Kind of like checking into a cheesy college dorm as a lowly Freshman. If that isn't bad enough, this is most likely the only national chain that DOES NOT have ice!! You want ice? decent view I stayed for 3 nights with 3 different rooms. I cant believe how each room disappointed me. I found hair in the bathroom (room 1) the staff also put me in a room by the maintenance and everything on the first floor! All I heard we loud people most of the time and they weren't guests. my second room, there were no towels. The last room, the bathroom floor was filthy and didn't look like anyone took the time to clean it. the bed was a bit stained too. Unfortunately this is one of the worst hotels I've been to.
