Strange smell in hallway. Also vending machine does not work. Front desk attendant was not to concerned about it

The staff there is awesome
Nice clean room. Soft bed. Everything you need for a good price.
I came in for 1 night and was given a room on the 3rd floor. Not sure if there is a designated floor for people who are more permanent or long stay at this property but the whole hallway smelled HEAVY of food and spices. Perhaps all the carpet should be removed from the hallways and rooms, for that matter. The room was overall ok, there was a mildew smell that was covering up the dog smell and the smoke smell.
