RENTER BEWARE. My rental for a outdoor parking space went from $78 a month to over $150 in less than a year. I did not receive any promotional period at the beginning resulting in the steep rise, just a 30 day notification that the fee would fom from $78 to $140 and a few months later a notification that it was going to over $150. I moved to another facility for $65 a month.

This storage have full of mice not good to store thing people loading food snack fill up their unit mice roaming everywhere seen a lot of mouse trap dead mice /rats laying on floor and the rent is very deep once u move in late they double the rent as triple homeless people sleeping driveway for years bathroom is dirty doesn't clean daily this it is

I rented a unit with this place some years back and will NEVER use them again. Frequent rate increases, poor service and not customer orientated. I had a unit with them for quite a few years consecutively and one time I had an issue with my bank and a payment deduction overdrew my account, this company tacked on a fee and would not remove it... it happened once (not several times) and they would not allow a one time exception removal of a fee. Do yourself a favor and read up about the experiences of others with regard to Extra Space Storage. Search for the words "Extra Space Storage Rate Increase". True to the experience of others I received a rate increase for my 10 x 30 unit right at the 6 month mark and you will too. They know they have you over a barrel once you stuff is there and will raise your rates until you move out because what are you going to do...move everything out and into another storage facility? Watch out for the additional charges that you're not told when you reserve a unit. There's a $22 start-up fee, plus a healthy monthly fee for required insurance, unless you press and tell them you have insurance, and then you have to send them a copy of it. You also need to provide your own lock. None of the above is told to you when you reserve, only the basic price, and you find out only when you roll up with your full truck. Jeremy, we do charge a one-time administrative fee at the time of move-in. Insurance is also required for customers who do not already have homeowners insurance to cover their belongings. While the space is seemingly clean and I have not had any serious issues with the place- I think it is absurd that the rate gets jacked up another 10 bucks every 6 months. Finding somewhere else to rent from from now on.

DON"T RENT FROM THIS STORAGE FACILITY!! They auctioned off my unit with out prior knowledge! It was a mistake on their part! From the coporate office to the distric manager's office appologized for the mistakes, but nothing is being done to correct it. I am a teacher who's life items were in this unit, and I am heart-broken. I will be seeking legal assistance.
I had unit 3544 for over a year, after several months of having the unit it seemed that there was water leaking in the unit. I told the guy working, he said there shouldn't be and maybe it just seemed that way. Again the problem occurred, this time whole boxes were soaked so much they were falling apart. Be careful when you rent from Extra Space Storage. Look into all other storage options because this is a greedy operation. When you sign their storage contract, they do not tell you the dates and amounts of future rate increases. Turns out, they raise their rates after only 5 months of storage. They know that, once they have your stuff, you are not going to want to pay the moving man to move it again - so you are trapped, and they know it, and they take advantage of it. Like I said, look elsewhere.
