If you ever want to access your stuff, DO NOT RENT A UNIT HERE. After a couple of hours running around this place trying to figure out how to access my unit (along with about six other upset, paying customers), I left yesterday without being able to access my unit at all. The claim of 24/7 access is simply not true. I arrived at the facility only to find the elevator disabled and no stair access (the door to the floor of my unit is locked). Security and customer service issues. The facility is clean and newer and in a good location. Maybe I was spoiled by being at an extra amazing facility before having to move to this one, but compared to my previous location the customer service and security are way below the standard set by ExtraSpace. First, the parking and dumpster area are not gated. The storage facility itself was nice and clean, but the customer service here was terrible. As they should know, moving is a very stressful experience! We moved to Atlanta from the West Coast and were staying with friends until we found our own place, so needed a storage unit. After multiple games of phone tag we were told that we couldn't confirm a unit (there's always "just 1" available) over the phone with a credit card because we had to come in person and sign a contract (email not allowed) which was impossible b/c we... read more

So many issues with this place. First I got movers to move by stuff into the unit and I had purchased the unit the day before... by the time I got there my unit was not unlocked so I went to the office (which says opens at 9a... no one showed up until close to 11. Meaning I had to pay my movers for 2 more hours. Miami (front desk) apologized and offered me next month free. Which of course the next month I was charged. Buyer Beware classic Bait & Switch Con 01/23/2017 After touring facility and seeing comparable 10X10 vs 10X15 storage units to rent, it was decided that Extra Space Storage was best to meet our needs. The location is excellent - very convenient to my home. I have been renting a unit at Extra Space Storage for a little more than a year. While management is friendly, the company makes minimal effort to secure the the premises. The video monitoring is limited to entries/exits which is of little value. I have just had the second break-in at the unit in six months. In July, the first incident occurred. i raised security concerns following the break-in.
