Good spot to store a vehicle as they make the rounds and keep an eye out on things. Had my car here for a year and am happy with not having any problems.

The manager (Nick) was extremely helpful in helping me get set up with a storage unit. I moved to Austin from San Antonio over the holidays and needed a place on short notice to store some furniture. From the moment when I spoke to Nick over the phone to meeting him in person, he was ready to assist me with any questions that I had. He took the time to show me around the property, walk me to my unit, and provide me with all of the information that I needed to know. This isn't really my story to tell, but, hey, it wasn't all my stuff in storage either, but when stuff needs to be moved and reviews need to be written, somebody's got to do it, amiright? Without getting into the boring details of aging parents, multiple real estate transactions and excess Ebay inventory, I'll just say that over the past 2 years, my sister and I have come to think of Extra Space Storage as our second home. This place is clean and well-maintained, etc, but it is *outrageously expensive* compared to most other facilities, and I've seen five price increases since we rented our locker 3 years ago. I can't pay half what many people pay in rent for an actual apartment, just to store some furniture. We'll be moving to another facility.

I rented a unit here for close to a year, and it was the best storage facility experience I have ever had. The building is clean, functioning, climate-controlled and safe - I never worried at any point that the safety of my belongings or myself were ever in jeopardy. Moving my belongings into or out of the unit was simple and hassle-free. The complementary dollies were much appreciated - I had a washer and dryer that had to be stored. If you love your Stuff, let me be a bit more descriptive: If you are INSANELY in LOVE with your Stuff (want to marry it) and would feel deep emotional pain if anything happened to it, but have no room for it at your home (because it's 800 sq ft and filled with Stuff you are married too) then take it to Extra Space Storage. The indoor units are clean, well maintained and always kept cool. The staff is excellent and consistent. No turnaround here. I would give this place and company 0 stars if I could i am not lying when i say that this is the worst customer experience i have ever had with any company. We requested to shut down our unit back in October. They did not inform us the unit did not shut down due to there being a lock on the unit. Then, they up-ed our charge by $30 a month no informing, and we just found out about it this week. They then started saying "well due to there being a lock on the unit (their lock by the way) they did not de-activate the unit" wow... read more
