I've been renting here for the past year. I moved out of Austin and joined active duty Army, and had stored my belongings here. I haven't been to my unit in a year and came back to get some items. Somehow, some way, (I've seen this on reviews of other extra storage facilities around the area) someone managed to break into my unit without breaking the lock. Clean facility, easy to access. Some spaces are awkward due to shape of the unit. I rejected a narrow, deep unit. The sign-up web rate is generally a good deal. Then the price goes up over time, almost doubled in price. So beware. Moved out on Jan.2. The office was closed Jan.1 for holidays and always closed Sundays. In your agreement, they have it so they can raise your rent with a 30day notice. So they constantly jack up the prices. My bill went up $30 on my third month. This should be illegal.

I've been at this storage facility (the facility at 12408 Harris Branch Parkway) for about 7 years. The previous owner was GREAT. Since Extra Space bought the facility about 3 years ago, I've come to expect subpar service, price increases every 3-6 months (no joke-or exaggeration) They provide absolutely no services such as electrical hook-ups, dump station, water fill station....as a fact, if you want to come and go outside of their normal business hours, IT WILL COST YOU EXTRA. RATING = Negative 100 Horrible facility My daughter rented a small unit at the end of February 2018. She filled it with her belongings and didn't return until Sunday July 15, 2018. EVERYTHING in the unit was covered with rat feces and urine, and almost every box had been chewed on, even plastic tubs, cleaning supplies, plastic bottles, vhs tapes, and wooden dressers.
