I'm a loyal customer whose was spoken to with great disrespect and disdain over a 30min. Policy. I have lupus and am in great pain and have an upstairs unit. I was told I need to finish unpacking my car and unit within 30 min. Which is highly unreasonable. I came in and spent a few hours rearranging my boxes to fit more and was scolded for being on the property for more then 30 min. Once I find another more *** accesable unit I will be leaving.

Life Storage in **********, ** scammed me as well. Signed up 3 months ago online, make sure to pay early every month, and as a reward I just got a generic little postcard in the mail saying my rental is increasing $80/month (from $385 to $465) due to a reevaluation of market conditions. When I went in just now to ask if it was a mistake, I was informed that the rates go up automatically every 3.5 months. They offered to knock it back to $422/month for a month but I don't negotiate with terrorists. I'll move it all out before... read more

This is not a storage business. This is a criminal enterprise involved in extortion. They will give you a price to move in and then two months later **** up the price by 50% in the hopes that you wont go to the expense or trouble of moving your things. These greedy pigs are vile scumbags. I should have been more suspicious. They tried to sell me a lock for four times the price that UHaul was selling it for, nonsense insurance and a leaking roof when I moved in that they have yet to fix. I went to this storage unit to rent a space to place my stuff since I needed to move out of my home. When I went there I was helped by the manager. I told him what I was looking for and what I was looking to spend. He found me a space at their other location, *********************************** ***********, **. ***** - Life Storage, which was bought out by Extra Space Storage. This business is a scam. They bought Life Storage and immediately raised prices without notice. This is essentially extortion, the raise prices, then when you cant pay, the get to essentially steal you belongings. The *** is a *****, with class action lawsuits against him. This practice should be illegal in the first place.

Honestly if I could rate a 0 I would. The customer service is horrible. The ******************** gate stays broken. If we speak about the predatory rate increases thats is a whole different bag of tricks. My storage rent jumped 30% when Extra Storage took over, I was late and a ****** space went to ****** with their added late fees. Also they force you to get insurance though them which is an additional ***** a month so now I pay close to ****** for a unit. So upset this company is a setup for failure lied about price and everyone says something different my price doubled in only 3 months when I signed up I came into the store where the employee went over the entire contract I remember them being in a hurry but made sure to ask everything I was signing and what exactly I'm signing nowhere did it say my price was going to double after 3 months with no notice or warning when I found out about this deal on the phone first again nobody said the price was going to go up they told me... read more

Have been renting for years and the price keeps going up and up....but a new customer can get the same size unit that I'm paying 220$ for at a price of 70$. So I currently purchased a new unit due to the need and now I'm stuck with a 270$ bill when I should b paying like 140$..just very shady practice. When I first noticed they were doing this. Extra Space Storage raised the rent almost 100% after four months. When I asked the staff working there if this would happen, she lied and said it was more typical for rent to go up about 20%. Just accept you will have your quoted monthly price for four months.
