So far so good. Site is super clean, staff is very friendly. Only beef so far is that I wish I was told before hand about insurance on the unit, this is my first time renting a unit and it would have been nice to know that because I paid first month for it, then found out that its covered by my homeowners and of course no refund or credit can be issued. Just a little annoying.....

We were very happy when renting our first storage space. The young lady helping us was very efficient & friendly. She went over all the security features at Extra Space & we feel very comfortable leaving our items there. The facilities are very clean & well kept. It would be nice if they mentioned the insurance coverage required on their website - that was an extra expense ($13/mo) we were not expecting.

So far, so good. I recently moved out of a competitors storage facility once my unit had been broken into and 1/3 of my belongings were stolen or damaged. I looked at many storage companies before deciding on Extra Space Storage. Their facilities are clean, well lit and have a ton of security cameras. The fact that they require insurance from renters is a nice bonus as well, it helps ensure that the clientele is top notch. I don't anticipate any issues with Extra Space Storage. Great job!

H.A really saved me at this place! The call center that you have to go through to book a unit screwed up my reservation but the manager at the Skyway location (H.A.) got it all figured out and came through. Thanks H.A.! Would be 5 stars if the call center hadn't messed up.

The staff were friendly and professional. Facility is clean and safe. I am renting the smallest unit (5x5) and am surprisingly able to fit a TON of stuff in it. The ceiling is 9 feet high, which allows for a lot of box stacking. It is easy to get in and out of the facility using the personalized code they provide. Highly recommend using this Extra Storage facility.

Terrible Experience - Rats, Dust, and Disrespectful Staff This place is a disaster. My storage unit had rats, thick layers of dust, and absolutely no help from management. When I brought up the rat problem, all they said was "if anything is damaged, you can file an insurance claim"--AFTER the fact. No offer to help prevent further damage or even check the unit. it started out great when I signed up with Daniel. I was not notified when they did a rent increase. I decided to empty my storage because I could not afford paying almost double. When I asked about a refund, I was told they don't do that. When we first signed up, we were asked if it would be long-term, we said yes. We were under the impression our rep (who was very nice!!) gave us the best program for long term. A couple months later, we noticed our bill went up about 10%. We contacted our local rep who told us that corporate changes the rates without them knowing.
