Very negative experience. We have had our unit for over 2 years. A few months ago. I tried to get into my unit. (using the lock that was sold to us by the company). The key wouldn't work. I went and spoke with the front desk and there was nobody on site that could cut the lock. I was told they would call me when a cutter was on site. I waited and waited. My unit was broken into, and the entire company has been completely useless and they continue to stone wall me about pertinent information. While you think that your belongings are safe in a facility like this ... I was robbed in the first month of renting. Stole all my tools and memorabilia and ransacked all my bins strewing everything about. These kind robbers put their own padlock on my unit afterwards! The manager said they don't have direct cameras to my unit but didn't want to be bothered to look at their cameras for the few weeks I was there to see the thieves carrying out my tools. I walked in the attendant was immediately defensive for some reason I asked if I could get a 10 x 16 or 10 x 20 garage unit and she said and I said I'm going to have my POD Storage Unit Brought over here to their place so that I could unload it into one of their units when I told her that she said Pods not allowed on site and I said we can put on the street I get a permit she said that's not allowed I should I think it is but I'll double check she said well I only have one unit anyway it's a $650 a month I walked out as I ap... read more
A bait and switch scam, don't be fooled Offered a 'special rate' for storage of my vehicle. 90 days later comes a notice in the mail that the rate is being increased by 35%. Was told when booking that this was a set rate. Don't be fooled, whatever rate you are offered will quickly be increased. They are taking advantage of people, will report to authorities.

Got a great deal on line for $133.00 plus $11.20 for insurance on a 10x25 storage space. There was an attempted of a break in into my storage in December. Reported it to Bertha, she seem concern? She mention there was a few other storage's that an attempt was made. Took pictures of damage to my storage door. Felt Extra Space Storage didn't do anything to address my concerns. This place is a SCAM. They advertise super cheap storage units then you get there and they do NOT have the cheaper units available as advertised so they talk you into more expensive units. AND they will automatically raise your monthly rent about 6 months after you rent the unit because the contract is "month to month" which I was NOT told when I signed my contract! Very shady business practices. I would never recommend this place to anyone!

There are rats in this facility I stored brand new sofas for less than 6 weeks and paid for the insurance; only to find out it doesn't cover rat damage and on top of it the management had the nerve to say(how do I now you didn't bring in the rats) STAY AWAY FROM THIS FACILITY!
I rencently rented a unit for less then 2 months I moved out of the unit in Aug. 27, 2015. Upon a previous visit to take photo pf my couches to sell I discoved everything was full of dirt and twigs. I took pictures of the dirty conditions and showed it to the manager Hector Hermasillio. He was busy and gave me a used twin bed plastic cover instructed me to cut it to create a barrier.
