If I could give 0 stars I would . Moved into my unit on 2/23 at one price and on 4/1 notified my unit price increased 35% my price went from ****** to ****** a month . I feel this is a very deceptive practice, get you in one price bait and switch . I have vacated my unit and will NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY THEY ARE THIEVES. WORST BUSINESS PRACTICE EVER!!!!!nnn

I paid the money due to extra space storage and they took the money for me it to vacate/move my personal items from their storage facility on a Sunday.( my only day that I am off work). Mind you I rented a U haul truck and paid for help to move me. I was not able to complete the move due the facility elevator was out of order and there was NO ONE available to let them know. So I was not able to move, had to return the rented truck ( I paid for and was not able to use it; for nothing), and money to vacate the premises. Now th... read more

My name is ******* *******and life storage has an infestation of rat and mouses. They make you feel guilty and assume that it’s something you did. In all my years of life I have never had this happen. Josh is the most belittling customer service front desk person. They take NO accountability or responsibility that they have an issue and I’m filing a complaint this is a hazard to my health and now my belongings. I signed a month-to-month contract (the only option available) for $73 per month. Less than four months later, they did a price increase to reflect "market conditions." The amount of the increase? $159 per month - MORE THAN DOUBLE the contract price. This is classic "bait-and-switch" pricing. Lure you in with a fair price and, after the customer has undergone the hassle of moving their stuff into the unit, the company then jacks the price, hoping the customer will just pay it instead of having to move everything out only a f... read more

I think they arbitrarily raise the rate! Raised my rate twice in less than a year! They sent an email saying “in accordance with your rental agreement…..” which is that they must give 30 day notice to raise the rate. I want to know if it’s by individual or whole facility rate change. They are not clear. It’s disappointing that they let people put their stuff in storage and then the arbitrarily raise the rates on them! In my opinion - it’s predatory!

I think this particular location on South Congress likes to rip people off lies about move out date and charges additional fees. The corporate company refuses to do anything about it says that even though they share the name they are independent from the corporation. When renting from this location get absolutely everything in writing even though David, the manager seems to be very kind he will stab you in the back as quick as he can. Beware of working with this business. When I signed up I was unaware their lease terms are month to month and this allows them to arbitrarily raise their prices quite significantly. My rate was raised from $123 to $237 and they simply notified me via postcard without reason. This is roughly a 100% increase month over month after my belongings were all jampacked into one of their units.Their business model is predatory and I strongly discourage anyone from doing business with this organization. My unit had the lock cut for no reason my bill was paid .I have spoken to several people asking why my lock was cut and put inside my unit this particular location is shady the guy at the front desk just lied right to my face when he said he would check the cameras too see if he seen anything. I am so very disappointed. Last month, after using this facility for almost 2 years, I noticed my unit had been broken into and good chunk of my items were missing. The lock was not cut and I’m sure it was picked. When I brought this up the lady at the front desk she did not admit there had been any break ins recently. I wasn’t even notified that there had been a break in. Even worse, the insurance company they use denied my claim because I couldn’t prove someone stole my items.
