After a disappointing experience shopping around for storage, I found this gem of store, the management are super professional, friendly and their attention to detail was excellent. It's climate controlled, nice new units, I would recommend this location and the team there.
This facility on San Fernando Road is a prime example of how a storage facility should be run. The people running the place are absolutely top-notch.The facility is top-notch although it's brand new maybe six months old it's clean you have plenty of parking, you have 2 loading docks, it's air-conditioned an overall is just a top-notch place to store your belongings. Brand new facility, opened just a few weeks ago, temperature controlled (for storing our valuable tapes and film), everything is clean and cool. John and Ed were terrific, this place has great service!
My unit was broken into. Lost thousands of dollars worth of my belongings. Security cameras were no help. Security codes didn't detour these thiefs. How can this happen?! $3,000 is the max amount insurance you can buy I'm at a huge loss. I'm beyond sad. Do not trust this place with your belongings.

I don't normally leave reviews but this was such a frustrating experience. We rented a storage unit for about 1.5 years and things were overall fine at first, other than the price increasing multiple times... However at the end, we got a notice that there would be renovations done on our unit. They were going to cut the lock, do the renovations, and install a new lock. This was all fine, but when we came back when the renovations were complete, our TV was gone. We went to the front desk and there were insulations we took... read more

Over the span of 9 months, this place brought two different breeds of cockroaches into my space and boxes which i then even brought in my car and new home. I had no food or anything in my unit at all. $655 a month for a cockroach infestation. The management just said "that happens". I had thousands of dollars worth of hand painted art, ruined with cockroaches we had to smash on the art to kill and so many sentimental items as well. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE unless it's to store and rid of trash. It's a dumpster.
THIS IS A COMPANYWIDE POLICY AND TACTIC SO IT AFFECTS ALL LOCATIONS, NOT JUST THE ONE I RENTED FROM. Do not rent from Extra Space Storage. 1. Hidden in their agreement is that they can (and do) raise your rent at any time. 2. After ONE MONTH at the advertised rate that I signed up for ($167/mo) they raised it by 50%!!! 3. Without notice!!! 4. Only when I called them on this did they agree to a PARTIAL refund, and would not guarantee future increases would not happen. The SHAMELESS price increases start a few months after you get all settled into your storage locker. The employee signing you up says NOTHING about this, how soon the price gouging is coming and how the increases will keep coming and coming and coming. You get the news every so often in the mail in an innocuous looking postcard thingie. The lockers are very expensive in the first place btw. Had this unit for less than 3 months. When I signed the unit, I went in with my business partner, asked specifically for any special promotion. Was told no. There is none at the moment. Fine, still signed the unit. Then less than 3 months into the unit, I found out they RAISED the unit price over 20% without notifying me. I logged onto my account to pay the bill and found out.
