Closed out my unit after 2 years, this location was a real pain in the rear! Everytime I needed dolly it was always locked up, the numerous times I need to enter the security code to go up the elevator was so annoying! After a year and a half suddenly my monthly rate went from $54 which was supposed to be the $49 special, it went up to $88 a month! Extra space storage ( ALL of them) ARE A HUGE ripoff. Do not use them !!! I have used numerous facilities in the past. Trust me...DI NOT USE THIS CHAIN !!!!
The prices are ridiculous. They DON'T update the customers information on the account on a regular basis so if you move make sure you change your address because when you go to pay they don't ask for your account info . I would never ever go back there again, almost 300 for a storage unit.. I THINK NOT.
Went to place had open sign but door was closed was told to press button to call manager on site tried calling no answer. than called corporate they wanted my husbands credit card number immediately without even seeing or meeting someone! than it took corporate fifteen minutes to call manager to get him to come up to desk .Waited thirty minutes outside storage until someone finally came, he than was horribly rude and wanted us to have a second level storage unit to move big furniture . This place is horrible, my husband and I should have gone somewhere else. The manager is rude, people live there, place is filthy, and so on. Just read the review by Tammy G. and know that we are at least 2 customers that had the same experience, especially the horrible elevators. They make 2 hours of moving last the whole day.
Here is a very honest review of a very bad business - in my opinion, and will be complete with photos. Yesterday, I spent my entire day moving out of this storage facility to another one in Huntington Beach after SEVEN years as a customer.
