I was ready to install my new modular shelving system in my garage, when I read the review and watched the video. Yes, it shows a closet set up! I have a nice shelving system in my closet, so I went for the garage route. The kit comes in a nice sized box - much heavier than I thought it would be. These garage shelves are very easy to install and very easy to adjust and customize to fit the space you need. I like the fact that there is not a lot of wasted room under the shelf from support brackets typically seen with old standard shelving. my only criticism of the garage shelf would be the short depth. I'm always looking for a little extra room in my garage and if the shelves were a little deeper, they would be perfect.

We ended up installing this into our laundry room in the basement as it not a visually impressive shelving system. But it's sturdy enough and gets the job done. The Silver is more of a gray plastic color. This is why I gave it 4-stars instead of 5. everything else is pretty good. The installation was easy enough. It comes with hardware to mount directly to the drywall without having to worry about hitting the studs in the wall. I installed this shelf in a pantry-like closet (leading to my attic). Installation was pretty easy with decent instructions and templates. Being anchored and secured between two walls makes this a very sturdy storage shelf which can hold a lot of weight. Expansion of the width is easy by simply twisting the inner tube and pulling. The kit includes and middle support bracket. (I took pictures but lost them--sorry)

I opened this box and thought I was missing a ton of parts. I emailed Home Depot and within a day received a PHONE CALL from the manufacturer. They kindly told me about the false bottom and told me this issue happens quite often. I think its time that they adjust their directions and let you know ahead of time. I'm grateful they didn't make me feel like a fool. Their customer service was very impressive with their kindness about the situation and their quick response.
