I installed this shelf over an existing closet rod. The closet has a partial diagonal wall on one end which prohibited me from using other closet shelving systems. This shelf when fully assembled is about 12 inches, which is not as deep as other systems. That met my needs exactly. It was extremely easy to install, and the package had all of the necessary anchors, screws, center support bracket, instructions and template needed. I am very happy with the expandable shelf and rod -- the product is extremely high quality and allowed me to replace an odd-size section in my closet system that had broken with something much more durable. The instructions and accompanying hardware made the installation smooth and effective. Used a stud for the end bracket for additional support as I live in Michigan and will have heavy sweaters and wool blazers hanging on the rod. Impressed by the strength and quality of the product and would highly recommend.

I purchased 2 of these shelves, along with one with no end brackets for my walk-in closet. The shelves arrived with all the necessary hardware, templates and instructions. The hardware works for dry wall, so if you have concrete/plaster walls or you plan on anchoring to the studs, you need other type of screws. The directions were easy to follow and include pictures, but I recommend reading it all the way through first to avoid confusion and/or extra work. Measure twice; cut once. Read the instructions all the way through before assembly. I would've given it 5 stars if one of the poles didn't arrive dirty.

The EZ shelf was simple to install, supports a significant amount of weight and looks good in our closet. Instead of trying to get a board measured and cut to the size of our closet, we were able to quickly put up shelving to clear room in another closet. We highly recommend this product and would definitely use them again.

Tragically, my camera phone does not pick up the true beauty of my new EZ Shelf Closet [aka MY ESCAPE]! Living in a late 1800's Victorian farmhouse has it's downsides- such as NO closet space. My solution- EZ Shelf! The price point is perfect and so, as the name implies, VERY easy to install. My wonderful boyfriend and yes even my 15 year old son [who is not exactly handyman inclined] was able to put it all up in a matter of an hour and a half! We bought this shelf to go in our nursery closet to replace the old falling apart wood shelf and mismatched brackets the previous owner had installed. The new shelf system with the rod looks great - much cleaner and nicer than what we had before. What drew us to it was that it was expandable so we could easily fit it through the small doorway and manuver around the slanted closet ceilings and still get the longest shelf space possible.
