Dr. Stern performed an outpatient procedure on my husband. The first words he said to me after the surgery were, 'He's not in great shape', meaning that he was old. That was true, but there was no reason to disrespect him, or me, by being flippant. During a later check up my husband's questions were literally dismissed with a wave of the hand again meaning there's nothing further I can do for you. It would help if Dr. Stern would learn more about his patients as human beings. My husband was a renowned scholar. Perhaps Dr. St... read more

Today marks the 3 year Anniversary of the surgery I had with Dr. Matzie for rectal prolapse. I have lived in constant pain from the moment I woke up from surgery due to the neurogenic pain she caused. After numerous blocks failed, I have had 3 additional surgeries traveling to Atlanta to see the top mesh removal specialist, Cleveland Clinic where it was a dual surgery performed by both the Department heads of Colorectal and Urogynecology and when Cleveland Clinic felt the problem was beyond their expertise they referred me t... read more
This is an update to the surgery I had with Dr. Kimberly Matzie on 08/06/2020. Please heed my advice and stay as far away from her as you can if you are considering any kind of surgery. I have had to have 3 additional surgeries from different doctors trying to correct all the mistakes she made during my surgery. Cleveland Clinic tried their best but were unable to correct the nerve damage caused by Dr. Matzie. They referred me to an expert Neuropelveologist in Zurich, Switzerland because of the extensive nerve damage causing... read more
I had surgery with Dr. Matzie on 8/6/20 for rectal prolapse. I have been in chronic pain since the surgery. I had no pain prior to surgery. At my 2 week follow up I explained to Dr. Matzie the pain I was having and she told me to just deal with it, but in harsher words that are normally censored out. Over the past 2 years I have seen the top surgical experts in colorectal and urogynecology on the east coast and undergone numerous tests and nerve blocks to try and decrease my pain without further surgery. I finally ended up a... read more
I'm leaving 2 stars because the nurses I interacted with were very nice and reassuring. Otherwise, I had a very poor experience with Dr. Colvin. His exam was painful and he didn't seem to take any care or provide any reassurances. No one wants a rectal exam to last for long, but after 30 seconds he told me to come to his office and walked out even though I was shaking and crying. Once in his office, he told me I needed surgery but couldn't provide a time estimate. I'd just had major surgery, but he was dismissive of my conce... read more
Dr. Colvin is known to become a raging bull with his patients for any complaint from the patient. His nurse lacks the least proper communication manners when speaking to patients. When I asked her to use courtesy approach, she insisted on conducting herself like a street bully. When I requested to speak to Dr. Colvin about her unprofessional manners, he became like a raging bull and displayed the most outrageous scene by yelling and using profanities. The situation could’ve gotten worse if it was not for the CEO who diffused... read more
Review of Dr. Kimberly Matzie: I underwent surgery for rectal prolapse on 06 Aug 2020 with Dr. Matzie. The surgery was a failure and her complete lack of professionalism, empathy and poor surgical skills have changed my life for the worst. At my 2 week follow-up I described the pain I was experiencing and she told me that what I was describing was totally abnormal following this particular surgery. Then she blatantly said to me, "I hate to be a b****, but you need to just suck it up". Those were her exact words. What kind of... read more
I always felt that I have a high tolerance for pain but not after today's in-office procedure. The pain was through the roof and I think I may have passed out for a short time. It took me some time to recover as I was dizzy. I walked to his desk for the consult and he commented on how pale I was. I feel that he should have described what he was doing more and let me know beforehand when it would be painful. On the positive side, he answered all my questions and he and the staff were very friendly and courteous.
