Please don't go this dentist if you don't want to be overtreated with alot insurance not covered treatments by some nonsense unknown side effect medicine.  Since the office is near by my house, I am their patient for a few years. They offen asked me do some treatments and more times clean and always told me if I don't do so, my teeth will finally got bad disease and will be lost. Worst dentist ever! First.... they have you sign in. A minute later, the nice receptionist has you write in their Desk Patient Book, about how wonderful they are! Ok, I had only met the receptionist, but I'll do it. Then a very nice lady took x-rays and cleaned my teeth in 5 minutes or less. I told her that I had a tooth that was really bothering me! FINALLY! This place is totally money driven. I should have realized it after the first visit but ignored my instincts. The problem started when they asked me why I came in. I told them that it seemed like my upper molar was cracked and that I would like to discuss possibly getting some of the stains removed from the upper front six teeth. After looking at my X-rays, Dr Joe did agree that there was in fact a crack in that tooth. I went there a few days ago with my 2 children. I was looking for a new dentist that was in network with my insurance. I have never had exam, x-rays and cleaning and be done in 25 minutes. I had a 5 minute cleaning. Dr. Joe looked in my mouth and told me my teeth looked great. When I asked him about my a referral for my receding gums only then did he take a second look. He quickly said I can fix that with cement then I was instructed up front to sign up for an appointment to fix the gums. I am getting a second opinion... read more

I came in for a groupon cleaning. The dentist barely looked at my teeth and I was told I needed deep root cleaning on 4 teeth to a total of $1200! I have later gone to another dentist that said my gums look great and I only need regular cleaning but I have a broken tooth and I only need a filling to correct it at the price of $98. He also said that regular cleaning will help with the other problems plus in the future I need to update previous fillings. Please be careful people. This is a shady operation.

Do not visit this dentist. I'm a patient with a great dental history who upon my first visit with Dr. Matievich was told that I need a crown immediately. After seeing another dentist for a second opinion I was told that I do not need a crown, but I do need a new dentist!

Try to stay away from this office. I agree with the preivous comment that the Receptionist are warm, but the Dr. is abrupt and fast. After fixing crown, the tooth start to bother me more than 2 years.

Extremely money minded, all Dr. Joe and his staff cares about is you PAY and PAY as much as they can possibly get out of your pocket. I agree with other reviews that Dr. Joe doesn't even bother to examine, just shows up and leaves in no more than 20 seconds. The staff will find all sorts of problem with your teeth (similar to car mechanic) and would suggest you to fix it - typically crowning, canaling etc. They'll charge you extra if you're little late for your 3 month cleaning appointment by calling it extra care treatment.... read more

While the receptionists are extremely warm and nice, Dr. Matievich is really abrupt and almost too fast in his examinations after the dental hygenist has cleaned your teeth. I don't think he's that personable, and just does the obligatory standard questions to create the aura he cares, but really he's quickly getting through as many patients as he can. I don't feel he takes the time to explain things thoroughly and relies too much on his staff to do it. I plan on finding another dentist in the area.
