They call themselves and urgent care, but they are anything but urgent. You have to schedule appointments to be seen. That to me is a doctors office that is billing urgent care prices but acting as a regular doctors office. I took my wife there because she cut her finger very bad and I was turned away because they were "booked up" for the day. Really, as an urgent care you are booked for the day at 1pm? Ridiculous. Due to current volumes and staffing shortages, we had to pause on accepting further walk-ins in order to provide a good patient experience and manage the already long wait times. I made an appointment at urgent care for my husband for 6:15 pm. He has shortness of breath with severe cold symptoms. He still hasn’t been seen at 7:30. He just wants to feel better enough to get to SC to be with his DYING father!!!!!! Do better!!!!!!!

My husband suffered a yellow jacket sting to the throat. We arrived at Fast Med at 3:21 pm on 09/25. The open sign was on and it was well before the closing time of 4:00. We opened the door and the person behind the counter said we aren’t seeing anyone else, we have met our quota for the day. She never asked why he needed to see a doctor. I tried to tell her what was going on and she cut me off and said “so, go to the er”. There was no one in the waiting room, no cars in the parking lot. We left and headed to the ER. Very rude employees and charged way to much my insurance company had to fight with them because false advertisement, never will go there again!

This place is so unprofessional. I called on Monday for a DOT physical and was told they couldn’t do the physical until Tuesday because they didn’t have anyone until then that could do the DOT physical. They scheduled me for 9:00 am Tuesday when someone would be there. I show up and call from the parking lot like told and they said they cannot do the physical because no one was there again that could do the DOT physicals. No phone call from them to change or cancel my appointment, they just let me drive all the way up there ... read more

Very friendly staff but i basically paid $100 just for someone to talk to me. no lab work or tests. waste of time and money
My Son went to Fastmed in Lenoir this morning. He was hurting in his chest when he was breathing. When he seen the "person". My Son told her the symptoms he was having, she then told him, yes you have the flu, we will write you out of work for a week, and stay away from everyone. He then asked, are you not going to test me for the flu? The "person" then replied, "No, I looked at the back of your throat, you have the flu, I can tell. This place is a joke!!!! I will never take my children back!!!!
This place is a joke. Payed their copay to be seen for not even 5 minutes. Wrote me prescriptions for over the counter medication and sent me on my way. Wish I would have never listened to the good reviews.
