John Igoe is a professional who knows his business and can get things done.
This lender had the best value (rate vs. fees) of the all the lenders so I'd definitely look for him again. In my case, the old loan that I was refinancing was still better than any new loan that I could get.
Had a very difficult situation that other lenders kept saying all these horrible things could happen. They had me so nervous, and they never called me back. I met Marry and she worked it all out no problem. Wonderful experience. Closed 30 days later.

John was professional through the process. First Ohio Home Finance, Inc charged about three times more than 2 other lenders in the Clark County Area for the fee that they earned for originating my loan. I thought I was getting the best interest rate in the area as well, but it was about 1/2 % higher than two of their local competitors. They did lower one of their loan origination fees per my request. Which was appreciated. The lender could do a better job in shopping for the best interest rate in the area.
As someone in the business for the last 10 years, i would never work with this company again. I purchased my first home ever, and happened to work with this company, i was given so many false statements throughout the entire process. On my day of closing, i had 3 separate people call me to confirm that i was fired from my job. Not only did i still work for the same company, but i pulled my own VOE. I’ve been through this over a dozen times and always avoided the extra hassles by not taking advantage of the VA loans. I locked in to a rate so low, that I actually enjoyed getting the stream of calls from other lenders who offered a better deal until I told them what Dave Mac did for me. Even then, they cried that it can’t be true and to call them back when the deal fell through. Well.... it never did. First Ohio was recommended through lending tree so I pursued a mortgage through them by applying for a home loan. Even getting an approval letter wasn't a smooth process even though my credit score is excellent. I did end up getting an approval and continued to look for a house. Once I finally found the right house for me and I started asking questions on how to proceed or what my options were they all of a sudden stop returning my phone calls with no explanation.
