Fountains had been such a great place to call home! Great area, very walkable, plenty of neighboring shops and restaurants. The office and maintenance staff is always so helpful. Definitely a place to check out if you are looking to move!
when I first moved to Charlotte I was nervous because I did t know anyone but when I moved into these apartments the people in the community and the office managers made me feel so welcome
I have been living in Fountains for a year and recently signed another lease to stay another year! I have had no complaints about this complex. The office staff have always been welcoming and answer my questions promptly. They also put a lot of effort into planning community events! I have been living at Fountains Southend for nearly a year now and recently renewed for a 2nd year. Positives: I enjoy my apartment unit and amenities, such as the fitness center and pool. In my opinion, these 2 features are among the best in South End. I also love going to events planned by the fantastic Cares team: Daniel and Jessie! I also appreciate the convenience of the light rail (and the Lynx lounge), as well as the nearby breweries and Harris Teeter. We rented a one bedroom for our son for a 10 week internship and the staff in the office (Nikki and Jessica) were super helpful. We visited our son and were extremely impressed with the apartment and the facility in general. Very clean, safe, great neighborhood.
Moved in May of 2024 and it has been awful. I found mold in all the drains when I moved in after they do a "pre move in cleaning". The front or rear gate is normally broken so they leave them open allowing multiple car break-ins we had. They often miss getting the trash then want to add fines if you leave your can in the hall. The staff will not return any voicemails left about the noise of other residents, leaving me to contacting the police due to being kept up till midnight or later because of their noise. The complex has a lot of issues with it. The walls are so thin you can hear all your neighbors. The parking gate is always open so anybody can just drive in leaving safety concerns. The hallways look depressing and dark -- not a very pretty complex to be in. The gym is extremely small and only has one of each weight machine, of which there's about 3. The Fountains is not well managed. Their are not enough parking spaces for the tenants. The parking lot security gate has not worked for over 6 months. Do not rent from The Fountains. The management of this property is not competent and has no regard for tenants. Please read the reviews. You will see the trend over time. Nothing has changed. Save yourself the hassle and chose a different property from the many available in South End.
I have been living at the Fountains for a year now. The staff is unresponsive and will not answer my phone calls. The main gate to the apartment has been broken and open for about 6 months now - leaving the fences useless. I have had to park on the street some nights because there are no spots even though I pay for parking. My appliances don't work very well. Maintenance on the pool took months longer than expected.
