They pre charged me for an “authorization” that got applied to my credit card. What’s worse is the refund I’m supposed to get is way short of what it’s supposed to be!

I was charged for a rental that I had to cancel, but told at the counter it would not go on my credit card. It did. Tried contacting Fox through their website (no response after 2 weeks), called and was told I'd be called back in a few minutes (that was well over and hour ago). And obviously there's not much going on on this FB page. My first rental went well and I was glad to have found Fox. SAVE YOURSELF A HEADACHE AND RENT ELSEWHERE!!!! Check in time is ridiculously slow (in line for an hour)! Rates on Priceline were great so we thought we’d give the company a try. What a headache. Due to a snowstorm we had to extend our trip to Austin. When we called them to extend our rental an extra day they told us it would be an extra $120 (we paid $51 a day). Keeps getting worse by the day! Upgraded to a Jeep Cherokee on July 29th. Drove from Austin to South Padre Island in what was a bucket of bolts! Broke down on my vacation another car was trucked down to me tying up and destroying my vacation day!!!!! Was refunded. Whopping 50.00. Thanks for nothing!!! Today a toll bill comes. My tolls totaled 7.75 my bill is 58.90. How do they add that up. When I asked about the tolls she said it was in my tag and hot to worry! I made a reservation with Fox a month before my trip to Austin. I chose to reserve a Standard size car because of the need my wife and I would have for the 3 days we would be there. When I went to the booth to pick it up, the agent told me that all of their cars were rented out or in the shop(recalled?). He said that they had a minivan for me and that it would be an "upgrade" from my standard size car. I had a reservation for a car at the Austin, TX airport booked over a month earlier so I could attend my daughter's Air Force Graduation in San Antonio. Arrived on time with my flight at 12:30am and when we finally arrived to the booth. NOBODY was there and a sign stating all cars are reserved.. THE END. No number to call nothing. We had to go with another company and paid over $300 MORE for the rental because we didn't get advanced rate discount.
