The absolute finest animal hospital in Maryland. I had such an incredible experience with the team here, especially Dr. Jessica Beyer. I brought my beloved Pug here after he had been misdiagnosed at another vet. Dr. Beyer was patient, knowledgeable, and so thorough in her care of Otis. Otis was terminally ill, and the whole team was so lovely through the end of his days. Dr. Beyer made herself available to us whenever we needed her and really made Otis comfortable at the end. My dog recently passed away right after New Years. We took her to Frederick Road Veterinary Hospital to be cremated . I was so pleased at how caring and thoughtful the staff was to me. I came home the day after to white carnations they had sent me. Those made me feel special and a reminder that my baby is no longer in pain. When I went to pick up her ashes, they had made a paw print with her name, a nose print and have me a small jar with some of her hair in it. The doctors and staff are very friendly.
The staff here are fantastic! I took my two kittens there after adopting them, and was very impressed with how friendly and helpful the staff was. Dr. Jessica was so patient with my millions of questions. You can tell they really care about their clients and aren't pushy at all with elective services.

After we “adopted” two English bulldogs, I knew I would take them to FRVH. From the very first visit with Dr. Lisa, she was very thorough , professional, and kind to my girls. I brought my Baby in because she wasn’t feeling well, and Dr. Jessica Beyer was very compassionate, and told me all of my options as far as tests, and possible treatment. We had the unfortunate experience of our beloved family cat, Honey AKA Smudge, die while we were all on vacation together. The kind folks at FRVH handled this with dignity, respect, & compassion. The staff must feel this is more than just a job to them, you can feel how much they care. It is a rarity for me to say this, but FRVH completely exceeded my expectations of customer service. Everyone in this hospital is of great service towards the whole unit of providing impeccable service. No matter who I've dealt with, every person was compassionate, understanding and helpful. My beloved Stoney passed away this Tuesday and while it was hard and very painful, the staff I encountered made it as easy for me as they could.
