Great menu, food service stall and value. The only issue is the bar music is not a good dining mate. Music is probably good if you are in the bar, but not dining in their dining room. Chicken Marsala and fishn chip ,excellent.
This was our first visit, for Valentine's day, and it exceeded our expectations. The food was fantastic and all the staff was very friendly. We're definitely going to go back here.
The cedar plank salmon was prepared just right and excellent flavoring. The seared scallops were the best I've every had in any restaurant in the US! Love scallops and the cream sauce was rich and scrumptious. The staff was very friendly and professional. Would recommend it if you're in Nevada City. We'll be going back!
The food was amazing but what made our night special was the care in which our hostess and server took with me and my grandmother. Lyla was bettered then we could’ve expected and recommended each of our dinners. Gotta love servers who aren’t afraid to speak up and say what they like.
Simply the best restaurant in the foothills. My wife and I have been going here since we moved up into the Auburn area from Monterey, CA back in 2003.

I've not been to Friar Tuck's since the new owners took over. They've improved the decor and cleanliness. The food was presented well but didn't taste as good as expected at their price point. The vegetable, I think it was butternut squash cubes, was seasoned not to our liking. My pork was completey overcooked. My Husband's Lamb was served medium rare with a great pomegranate glaze.
