We went to Frier Tucks for our 48th Anniversary. They had a special table for us with a happy anniversary sign. The cheese fondue and wine were great. My husband loved his steak. Soft live music was playing in back ground. They gave us each a glass of champagne to celebrate.
Open table said I did not show up for my reservation but we had drinks in the bar then dinner in the dinning room Kelly was our waitress Randy n Toni Henry
This place was very welcoming, comfortable, and had amazingly attentive staff! Then we ordered!! The food was deliciously unique, and cooked to order… then the owner came by to see how our meal was❤️
Like other locals, this has always been our go to place for special occasions. I am sorry to say this is no longer the case. The food is good. The service is good. But the changes in the menu make this just another overpriced restaurant. If you are the owner please read the reviews and bring back the hot oil fondues,
Friar Tucks is the best of the best!! Our server Kelly was friendly, attentive & fun to talk to! The music was great and we sat in the front window on the dining room side when you walk in and it’s perfect as you can hear the live music & have a conversation! Fondue, Salmon, salads were all perfect! We were happy happy!
Dinner was very good. We don't particularly like the changes to the menu. The prime rib was great as always; but the "sauce" was not horseradish. The Maui Pie was good, but not as it was before.
To sum it up: I expected better. The food was just OK, which isn't saying much for those price points. I had the panzanella with salmon: the bread in the panzanella was really tough, and the salmon was overcooked - almost completely hard. The rest of my table said the food was just OK - no one was completely happy with their dish, which was a let down for a $50/person dinner. That said, the service was wonderful. Every member of the staff was happy and helpful. I just wish the food were on par.
One of our regular Friday nights....Music was excellent too!
Very good food and an excellent server. Timing for our attendees at Off Broadstreet was perfect.
