Last time I had dinner, we had the clams and there was sand pieces in the clams? This time had the sirloin special, aged 45 days, was tough? I don’t get it. Food is okay
What a great night. Julie and the rest of the team provided amazing service, the food was delicious and cooked perfectly and the dessert was incredible. Music was just right for background and the folks walking by dressed for Halloween made it even more fun. It was also a birthday celebration and we for sure chose the best place. Thank you very much!
Great food & cocktails. Service is friendly & just overall upbeat atmosphere.
The food was great and the staff was super friendly and efficient. Great restaurant!
Was our first time dining in Nevada City and wanted a nice place for fine dining but not stuffy upscale restaurant. Friar Tuck’s was the perfect choice. Had the roasted duck with wild rice and lamb with baked potato as our main courses. Both were excellently prepared and presented. Duck often is served as a few medallions but not at Friar Tuck’s. They served two large breast halves with leg quarters that were crisp on the outside and meaty, with orange sauce on the side. Delicious. They also had a very good selection of wine... read more
Last time we ate here was in 2015 and it was a really bad experience. When you spend that much money on dining, it's hard to want to try it again. New ownership since then so we decided to see if it was any better. It was!! So happy as this restaurant holds a lot of happy memories for us. We'll definitely be back!
My 7yo son took me on a date here. he had fondue, i had chicken piccata. delicious. then the waiter brought the blowtorch to our table and caramelized the crème brûlée in front of us. so fun and exciting! we will be back!
We went for my husbands birthday and all of the food was excellent! I had the steak salad and it was suggested by the server! Great suggestion and I will order that again! My husband couldn’t choose between the bourbon street fillet or the sole almondine so he ordered both and they were both outstanding! My daughter ordered the Burrata salad with the French onion soup and we was also wowed!! My son ordered the 45 day aged steak special. It was so tender and amazing! The grandchildren ordered off the kids menu and were equall... read more
My Favorite place for a Quality night out. I live 2 1/2 hrs away, but make it a point to go a couple times a year. We had fondue this trip and as always it was very good. A slight hiccup with our oil burner going out twice & our oil cooling off due to not being able to gind our waitress. We flagged down a different one and she immediately cured the issue. Unfortunately it happened again…kind of drug out our dinner. But hey, life happens and overall a wonderful place to eat!
