We did really love the main dishes however the fondue didn’t taste like cheese in any way. It tasted so much like wine we couldn’t eat it. Service was a little slow for how slow it was that night but they were very nice. All in all I would still recommend this restaurant to others but hopefully they get my message about the fondue.
The chicken Marsala was not good. Too thick and chewy. Not much flavor. Disappointed.
We have been once before and really enjoyed the fondue with family on a cold winters night. This time we had the crab Louie salad and my steak, chicken Marsala ( really good) and French onion soup. Everything was great, servers were attentive and helpful. Enjoyed the live music at a perfect noise level so we could still talk. Sadly the costs are getting a little high to bring the whole family out to a nice red like yours any longer.
Our dinners were excellent as was the service. We will definitely return. We
You are really missing out if you’ve never tried Friar Tucks!! They are consistent with the service, the quality of the food and the atmosphere! We have never had a bad experience! I just wish I could have the “Bubble & Squeak” by myself! As nobody ever wants to enjoy it with me! Had the Scallops this time and they were amazing! Our reservation was early enough so we could sit in one of the booths in the bar area and listen to the really good live music!
The restaurant is very nice! The staff is the best and very friendly. The food is very good.
The food is great! Service is Amazing and the music from the bar was so nice to listen to without it being over powering. We love going to Friar Tucks as it has become our favorite place to dine and have some quiet time together. The Maui pie dessert is pretty phenomenal!
We felt rushed.... We had a large group. We took my wife for her 60th. I believe that our waitress likely had too many tables to cover and she did her best to provide the level of service she had time for. Would have liked it to feel 'more special' for the amount of money and the event itself we were there for. We have been there several times in the past traveling from Sacto. Food did not seem as good as it has been in the past. Ribs were to dry. Owners did come by just as we sat down, which was nice. Had they came back aft... read more
When we got there they sat us near the front window. We asked to be moved to a different table because the flies were bad and they were very cooperated. The food was ok. My husband ordered a burger which was a little over done. Our waitress Bree was excellent .
