Sent my paperwork for a refi on a rental property 3 weeks ago. There was never any headway made on it and I never received any real reason why it took so long. I told them to forget about it and am looking elsewhere.
I would highly recommend using another loan officer and company. DJ was very misleading and gave wrong information. He made our home buying process a nightmare! If you bought a house before you would know this guy clearly doesn’t know what he is doing. After giving him all of our info for the completed application he has still yet to produce any documentation I.e approval letter, denial letter, conditional approval - nothing! If you go to Gershmans website you can even read where they talk down home loan for self employed. In my opinion, they do not understand the fact of how write offs and taxes work for self employed. If you are self employed, skip this lender. it is a waste of your time. You can have a 750 credit score and a 70k per year income and they will say you make 16k income. They simply do not get it
I'm glad I'm through and done. These guys did help me out in a crunch but there were many pitfalls along the way and once the dust settled, the customer service just wasn't there. Too many times I'd call, leave message, email multiple people and not get a response for days. I would have not bothered to review or given them an average score except for this. Bryan was an excellent lender. From the first phone conversation we had he made us feel right at home. No question was left unanswered. His entire team was a delight. They were all very responsive to all phone and email correspondence. I recommend Bryan and his team for any of your lending needs. They make you feel very comfortable.
