This was our first time at this new establishment. The first thing that struck me was how few parking spaces that were available versus how big the restaurant was. We had to park over by the apartment complex. No big deal. I need to get my steps in and my car didn't get towed. After arriving, I informed the front of the house that we had 6:00 reservations, at which I was told there would be a wait as they "got behind." At 6:20 we got our table. No respect for reservation time. We had to wait despite booking ahead. They need to plan better. Food was not bad at all.
Our first bartender was excellent, made great martini, very friendly, then he stopped waiting on us and others took over and weren't as attentive and engaging as the first. Ceasar salad was drenched in not so great dressing, duck app. couldn't taste or see any duck, shrimp sushi app was excellent. Waited quite a while to order other additional drinks/apps and for bill. It was our first time at the restaurant.
It was energetic, and that is positive, but I had a very hard time hearing the person across the table from me. I had a bit of a headache when I left because the noise is so loud.
Had to wait 20 minutes after my reservation extremely loud value / food don’t equate. our server DJ was absolutely amazing. He was the only good thing at the restaurant
The ambiance was great, very swanky cool place. Self Parking was difficult but valet made it very easy. The front desk hostesses were somewhat rude and awkward to interact with. “Oh yeah, your table definitely isn’t ready” instead of offering information as to when it may be available. The pizza was so salty I had to send it back. They replaced it but it was still a little too salty but edible. Husband ordered the chicken parm. which was just okay and the portion of chicken was very small. They refilled my husband's coffee but never offered to refill mine, which was also empty. The coffee was very good! The place was so dark we couldn't see what our check was . We had to use the light on my phone. It was also very noisy. Very disappointing experience: first off there was no handicap parking near the entrance. The ONE handicapped parking spot was at the opposite end of the building from the entrance. I’m surprised the town approved that. Secondly, the restaurant was very dim and noisy and all the many televisions every place was distracting. I thought Giana’s was supposed to be a high end restaurant not a sports bar. While I understand this restaurant just opened, the quality of the food for the price we paid was poor. We ordered basic items (meatballs, pasta dishes and steak tips) for dinner. The pastas were undercooked, the grilled chicken was so dry I couldn’t cut it and the steak tips were inedible. We ordered the chocolate cake for dessert and that was also bad (it was cold, stale and it tasted like they put fluff on top of the cake).
