Excellent communicator. A referral needed to be made for surgery, and she contacted the surgeon immediately. she followed up with us, and was a very caring person. I definitely would give her five stars. We did have difficulty, however, dealing with the office staff. A referral was sent to them from our primary care doctor. We waited eight days and never heard from the office staff at gastroenterology. Normally I hate the way patients are run through doctors offices like cattle in a chute but for this test it’s perfect. The whole experience is efficient, quick and designed to build calmness in the patient and Dr. Shields is super kind and his confidence and professionalism are wonderful.
