Nice overall, nothing bad. Most annoying was that our booth was messy, lots of food in the seats that is. I used my napkin to wipe it off. The food was good, but they didn’t seem super prepared for a Friday night.

Part of Clancy's small chain of upscale restaurants, Grindstone on Monon represents them well. Very busy at our time of arrival but the reservation ensured a table. Good menu choices and good range of draft beers. Our party enjoyed it.

Had the seared cod. Plate brought to the table by the chef. Initially smelled fishy, but CERTAINLY didn't taste fishy. Nice size serving of cod, nicely seasoned. Came with couscous and roasted carrots, which was 2 small carrots cut longwise on either side of the cod. Could have put a few more on the plate for the price. Husband had 1/2 rack of ribs, baked potato and added a salad. Ribs were fall off the bone, very tender.

We absolutely love Grindstone on the Monon. We have NEVER been disappointed. My husband had the Salmon with homemade mashed potatoes. He loved it. I had the filet slider, fried green tomato slider with the Mac n cheese. As alway amazing. Even though I didn’t end up getting much mac n cheese because my husband and daughter ate it every time I was distracted. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a great meal and great service.
