My wife and I went for an anniversary dinner. The food and drinks were great and the service was better. We mentioned it was our anniversary when we booked our reservation and they gave us a free desert. That really topped off the spectacular service.
First time visiting Grindstone Public House. We sat at a bar top and liked the atmosphere. The menu had a lot of what seemed to be great options. Michael, our waiter, was very good and offered from the menu what his top 3 choices were. It was really a positive experience, except the bartender had a loud voice that drowned our conversations out. He was just too loud, and never stopped talking. Always a great time and we love how they accommodate when we split dishes.
Service was excellent and food was very good, with two exceptions: the filet slider was all fat, and the bacon on the chicken sandwich was nearly raw. The tenderloins and wedge salad were amazing. Our server was excellent. But the noise level was almost intolerable.
The food and service were very good, but the noise level made it difficult for our party to talk to each other. You could only hear the one or two people that were immediately next to you.
This is always a great date night. Never disappointed.
The Thursday night we were here was fairly busy, plus it had live music. The combination made it harder to talk. Being busy made it harder to the staff to keep up with the food and drink orders. That aside, we still enjoyed our dinners. We started with the Crab Dip appetizer, the dip was flavorful and the chips were light and crispy, we all like it.
