Noisy, friendly but lax service, food was hit or miss - most of it was way too salty.
I was not impressed. I did not enjoy the house salad. I ordered the cedar plank salmon. The salmon was ok but was, in my opinion, not worth the price. The waitress did not spend much time at our table. She was ok but I have had better service.
7pm reservation. Didn't get our drink orders alcohol and sodas until after 8! All Food was served Luke warm. Kids pasta was really good, BBQ rib special was good. Duck, pecan crusted trout and Caesar salads were mediocre. Service was non existent. What a disappointment!
I was very disappointed in our experience. Unfortunately I guess it was a limited menu due to it being New Years day and there was no notice of this when we made our reservation. Had I known this I would have gone a different day. We were seated in the downstairs bar area, where the table and stools were wobbly. They were out of the the first 2 beers I ordered. Don't normally do reviews when restaurant doesn't live up to expectations but since you asked I have to say this place doesn't deserve the high ratings we've been reading. The menu offerings were limited and our meals were not prepared with fresh ingredients.
We had several flies around our table, and one even landed in our glass of wine. After we asked for some help, we got treated coldly by our server. The other staff was too young to even know how to give good service. We even had to ask for a replacement glass of wine. One was not even offered. We will not be returning based on the service alone.
This casual restaurant and their server Jay provided us incredible service and a meal that was just fantastic. I know that anytime we are in the Georgia mountains, this will one of our "must" places to stop.
Second time dining at Harvest, this time for dinner on a busy Saturday. We were seated in the lower level which, at first, we thought would surely be cooler than upstairs. Nice and quiet. But the flies were everywhere. Mentioned it to our server and she said it was 'because it is summertime'. My husband was constantly swatting them on the window next to us (floor was like a war zone!) While I enjoyed my most recent meal at Harvest on Main, my husband was very disappointed in his. He usually opts for the meatloaf or the bistro steak but decided to go with the pork loin. After being told by our server that the pork would be pink in the center he received an exceedingly dry piece of meat, cooked through and through. Absolutely not what he was expecting, and certainly not worth the price. Actually at any price.
