We ate at the bar. The bartender is GREAT (Gary). He spent a lot of time trying to help me find a wine I liked. Food was good, 2 entrees we tried were Salmon and Pork Chop. We also shared a salad and a side of Tater Tots. The bill was $103 for 2 including the half price wine bottle (featured on Tuesday nights).
We go to Haven alot and this time it wasn't great. I think there's an issue with staff. The waiter we had was sort of spaced out and he got all of our orders wrong. We will go back because we live all of Michael Arnetts restaurants.
We love Haven's food, warm and lovely ambiance, and beautifully lit outdoor dining. Feels like a special occasion, but prices are not over the top. Try the Truffled Potato hay-- a stack of deliciously crisp potato sticks. We much prefer sitting outside; our last time indoors was pretty cramped. Nevertheless, we still loved it and will continue to come often!
Thoroughly enjoyed our anniversary evening at Haven. The ambiance, service and food were exceptional. Dined on the patio during a lovely fall evening. Worth the experience.
We've been coming to the Haven since it opened and it has been consistently great for dinner and Sunday brunch. With all new servers and Chef Stephen moving over to Arnette's it seems it has changed. The service was okay nothing spectacular. My scallops second time were good. The first time- it had jalapena butter on them which I wish the server had mentioned as being very hot when I ordered it. Our usual server was not there , so I guess it just makes for a different environment.
It was our first visit to Haven. We asked for an outdoor seat, which was accommodated. It was a beautiful night and we spent over 2 hours enjoying the food and the conversation. We started with an Autumn Salad, a concophony of flavors and textures...a great light start to the meal. My only comment was the cheese was under the salad and I would have preferred atop. I have been to Haven many, many times, sometimes with just my husband, which is wonderful, sometimes with another couple, etc. It's one of my FAVORITE restaurants in Atlanta. The staff is wonderful, and many have been associated with the restaurant for a long time. The food is excellent and what's great is that they use local and therefore seasonal ingredients, changing the menu 4 times a year. Delicious! We often split our entree. One of tonight’s specials was Chef Joe’s Meatloaf. It was full of flavor! Photo attached is 1/2 portion. We could eat here every night and almost do, in fact. ;)
